Why I started Paws and Claws

As a Christian, my faith played a significant role in guiding both my personal and professional journey. For many years, I prayed for direction and purpose in my career-something that would allow me to serve others while also being present for my children as they grew.

After repeatedly seeking God's guidance, I felt a persistent calling to become a dog boarder. What started as a simple thought soon grew into a vision, and from that vision, Paws and Claws Boarding and Training was born. 

My love for animals has always been a central part of who I am. They bring an incredible amount of joy, comfort, and companionship into my life, and I often joke that they are my emotional support animals because of the happiness they provide. While I never imagined this would become my career path, I cannot picture myself doing anything else.

One of the greastest rewards of this work is caring for other people's pets and witnessing the excitment and trust they show through every wagging tail and happy greeting. Equally meaningful are the realationships I have built with my clients, many of whom have become like extrended family. These connections have been an incredible blessing. 

As my passion for working with dogs continued to grow, I decided to expand my knowledge and become a trainer. Seeing so many dogs surrendered, rehomed, or placed in shelters due to behavioral challenges inspired me to help make a difference. My goal is to provide owners with the tools and guidance they need to build strong, lasting relationships with their dogs so they can remain beloved faimly commpanions for years to come.

Through faith, perseverance, and genuine love for animals, I have found a career that alighns with both my purpose and my values. Paws and Claws is more than a business-it is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream, and I am grateful everyday for the opportunity to do what I love.
